Iciar Arechavala
Iciar joined Miramoon Pharma management team in 2024 as Director of Financial Strategy. She brings two decades in strategy, finance, M&A, and innovation to foster business growth and support social impact ventures.
After more than 15 years in business strategy, finance, and management control at two major corporations, ILUNION (Grupo Social ONCE) and PricewaterhouseCoopers, she made a strategic shift in 2020 towards corporate development (M&A) and innovation, building on her prior expertise and adding new capabilities in these fields. At ILUNION, she was part of the corporate development and innovation team and in 2023 cofounded the startup Compostree. Her recent work includes product and service revaluation, fundraising, open innovation initiatives, the strengthening of sector-specific and local networks and financial management.
She holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Deusto Business School (formerly Universidad Comercial de Deusto) and has completed executive training in innovation, including the Leadership Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Deusto Business School + Comillas Pontifical University –ICADE) as well as specialized training in investment rounds, company valuation, intrapreneurship and board governance
With a strong interest in impact investing and local development, she mentors social entrepreneurship projects in partnership with Fundación BBK. She is also a member of ESADE + Fundación BBK’s Impact Measurement Learning Community.
