Dr. Jose Ignacio Miranda is co-founder of Miramoon Pharma SL. He holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (EHU), where he obtained a Degree in Chemistry. His doctoral research was focused in the synthesis of new amino acids derived from beta lactams and beta lactones. In 2002 he moves to Barcelona to works as Postdoctoral Fellow in University of Barcelona where he carried out more in-depth research into Nuclear Magnetic Resonance techniques (NMR) and structural characterization of molecules via combination of NMR and “in silico” studies. In 2004, he comes back to the EHU, where he is the NMR Facility manager in the General Service at the university (SGIker-EHU).
